Every week when it hits Wednesday, I find myself lacking motivation and drive to keep my spirits and hard work up. I think we all can relate to this hump day drag, and I recently decided to do something on my blog to keep myself (and hopefully my readers) a little more engaged when Wednesday rolls around. From now on, every Wednesday, I’ll be featuring what I’m calling my piece of the week—basically, a piece I’m currently loving and want to tell you all about. This gives me something to look forward to writing about, and I hope some of my readers will share my love for the pieces I choose! So, without further adieu, here is this week’s piece of the week: Denim espadrilles!
Espadrilles are one of the hottest summer trends in terms of shoes, and it’s easy to see why. They’re comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear. They also can easily be worn with a variety of outfits, whether you’re a laid-back jeans and T-shirt kind of girl, or a fancy sundress lover. Even thought they’re trendy, they are a pretty classic style that is sure to endure.
I’ve seen tons of styles of espadrille, including sandals and flats that wrap up your leg like ballet slippers, but the slip-on style has quickly become my favorite. I’m a huge fan of cool sneakers, and slip-on espadrilles are like a cute, more rustic version. I got these denim slip-on espadrilles from Sam Edelman last week, and I’ve fallen head over heels in love.
I’d been searching for a perfect pair of shoes to take on my travels abroad next month, and knew I wanted something that was fashion-forward, but would match with everything and be comfortable to strut around Europe in. Enter: these shoes. They have a one and a half inch platform that’s perfect for any occasion, and a comfortable denim-like fabric on top. They’re stretchy and comfortable, and I’ve loved how they look with every outfit I’ve worn so far! To me, they’re a shoe that every girl should own, because of how versatile and classic they are.
